PENRITH v BILLINGHAM TOWN PREVIEW
EBAC NORTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE

MATCH INFO:
Matchday 5
Wednesday 21st August, Frenchfield, Penrith, CA11 8UA, Kick Off 7:45pm.
Penrith: All Blue
Town: All Red

FOCUS ON PENRITH:
The Cumbrians finished bottom of the table last season despite a late renaissance in form. They survived relegation into division two due to the resignations of AFC Blyth and Team Northumbria. Two home league defeats and a loss on the road has left them searching for points in an effort to alleviate the pressure. They have created opportunities though and did put Newcastle Benfield under pressure during the second half on Saturday. Some of the players to look out for are youngsters; they include central midfielder Adam Main and winger Sam Bell. If Town are to win, they will need to get past Lewis Casson and skipper Grant Davidson. Substitute Max Brown has scored in both of Penriths home games.

ONE TO WATCH: MARTYN COLEMAN
The mainstay of Penriths attack over the years, during several spells. Scored in our last visit in 2013. Prolific in pre-season, albeit, mostly against lower opposition. Yet to get off the mark.

RECENT RESULTS/SELECTED PRE-SEASON:
Penrith 1-2 Newcastle Benfield (Brown)
Seaham Red Star 4-2 Penrith (Davison, Atkinson) - FA Cup
Hebburn Town 3-0 Penrith
Penrith 2-3 Bishop Auckland (Brown, Atkinson)
Penrith 5-0 Holker Old Boys (Coleman 2, Wraighte, Brown, Atkinson)
Penrith 5-4 Porthmadog (Coleman 3, Wraighte, Brown)
Penrith 1-1 Cleator Moor Celtic (Coleman)
Millom 1-5 Penrith (Coleman 3, Jackson, Mossop)

LAST ENCOUNTER:
2013/14 NL1: Penrith 5 (Coleman, Rigg 2, Errington) Billlingham Town 1 (Taylor)

TALKING TOWN:
There are plenty of absentees due to work, holidays and unavailability. In defence, Lee Moore, Stephen Oakley and Mark Dixon are missing so James Frazer, Kris Summers and Jamie Poole will fill in and one other to be confirmed. Connor Smith, Connor Dunlavey and Dan Flounders are also missing but Kurtis Howes is back from his holiday. Reece Kenney returns from his one match ban and could partner with Jack Connor in central midfield. Jamie Davis could be pushed further forward to link up with Craig Hutchinson. Town have registered several lads from the under 23 squad; Oliver Wilson the first of them to make the bench against Ashington.
