BILLINGHAM TOWN v OSSETT UNITED PREVIEW
THE EMIRATES FA CUP PRELIMINARY ROUND

MATCH INFO:
Saturday 24th August, Bedford Terrace, Kick Off 3:00pm
Town: All Royal Blue
Ossett: Grey & Green Shirts, Grey Shorts.

FOCUS ON OSSETT:
Ossett United is an amalgamation of two clubs who were part of the Northern Premier League in 2018. Ossett Albion and Ossett Town joined together and chose Town’s ground, Ingfield as its home base. They finished fifth in their inaugural season but were defeated in the promotion play-offs by Pontefract Collieries (step 4, same division as Marske United) and are tipped to be challenging for promotion once again. United had previously chosen a difficult pre-season schedule and began their league campaign with a 0-0 home draw to Mossley, followed by defeat at Dunston. During their two league games they have tried to get the ball down and play but can, at times go direct and change formations, particularly in midfield. Of the squad, Andy Monkhouse played for Hartlepool United in league one while Serbian born midfielder Marko Basic came from Halifax Town. Defender Chris Chantler was once handed the number 53 shirt when at Manchester City.

ONE TO WATCH: ANDY IJIWOLE
Winger On loan from Huddersfield Town. Moved to Yorkshire from London to join the Terriers Academy under 17s and has gone out on loan to Ossett to gain work experience. Was voted man of the match in the 0-0 draw against Mossley in the non league paper.

TALKING TOWN:
Three players are on their holidays: Kris Summers, Lee Moore and Jordan Patterson but of those who missed the midweek draw in Penrith - Mark Dixon, Matty Robinson , Stephen Oakley and Connor Smith are available. Dan Flounders continues to be hindered by injury. On the goalscoring front, Craig Hutchinson and Luke Hogan lead the way with three goals apiece with Kallum Hannah next on two strikes. Kurtis Howes, Jamie Davis and James Frazer have one each.
