MATCH INFO:
Northern League Division Two
Saturday 23rd March, Bedford Terrace, Kick Off 3:00pm.
Town: All Royal Blue.
Colliery: All Emerald Green.
Officials: Matthew Cain, Alexander Perros, Zac Kettle.

FOCUS ON EASINGTON:
The Collierymen began the season in excellent form and were the early pacesetters but fell away alarmingly during the winter. Part of the reason for their dip in form has been a lack of rhythm due to ground improvements at Welfare Park. Town have already beaten Easington twice this season but the visitors come into the game in a rejuvenated manner. They were impressive on Thursday night against Birtley Town and are currently unbeaten in four matches. Their strengths lie in attack with the likes of Josh Home-Jackson, Jack Pounder and Liam Adamson. Adamson began the season as a striker but played as a left winger against Birtley and was probably man of the match on the night. Central midfielder Lewis Green has had two previous spells at Town and rarely gives the ball away. He will be partnered by the industrious David Vincent. In defence, the languid Niall McGoldrick recently signed from Thornaby while full backs Jak Ashton and Brennan Ball like to get forward.

ONE TO WATCH: JOSH HOME-JACKSON
Recent signing from division one side Newton Aycliffe. Hard working striker in the Matty Moffat mould and has predatory instincts inside the box. Has built a good relationship with fellow forward Jack Pounder.

RECENT RESULTS:
Easington 3-0 Birtley Town (og, Adamson, Pounder)
Willington 0-2 Easington (Pounder, Home-Jackson)
Chester Le Street Town 3-3 Easington (McGoldrick, Home-Jackson, Adamson)
Easington 2-1 Heaton Stannington (Home-Jackson 2)
Easington 1-2 Northallerton Town (Home-Jackson)
Esh Winning 5-2 Easington (Pounder 2)
Easington 2-2 Bedlington Terriers (Adamson, Vincent)
Washington 5-0 Easington

RECENT ENCOUNTERS:
2017/18 Billingham Town 1 Easington Colliery 1 (Lavan)
2016/17 Billingham Town 4 Easington Colliery 1 (Hutchinson 2, Beddow, Davis)
2015/16 Billingham Town 1 Easington Colliery 1 (Lines)

TOWN LAST 6 HOME: dDWLWW
COLLIERY LAST 6 AWAY: DLLLDW

TALKING TOWN:
On the injury front, Mark Dixon has started his strength and conditioning program and should begin light training next week. Stephen Jackson and Stephen Oakley have been given the all clear to return to full training with Oakley already included in the squad in recent weeks. Reece Kenney continues his rehabilitation but will not be risked in the weeks ahead. Callum Hassan will be back from his holiday but is unlikely to figure this weekend. Other players who were carrying niggles such as Dan Flounders, Elliott Beddow and Craig Hutchinson are now injury free. Matty Robinson will probably retain the left back spot after being a part of the back four that kept a clean sheet against Crook Town two weeks ago.
