Well I would have taken a point at 7.30 and after a poor first half however we were outstanding second half and played in the right areas, went 1-0 up then one of the worst decisions in a long time, kegs kicks the ball of the willington lad, Steve Lawson the Lino flags goal kick and somehow the ref gives a corner.... Goal.

We carried on pressing and after a long clearance Mickle challenged the keeper, as Mickle goes to retrieve the ball the keeper wraps his legs round him... Play on.

Now when Paul Nic who was a top top ref himself is losing his head at such a bad performance then the refs struggling. Another annoying thing is there are fewer and fewer refs you can talk to know the bloke tonight not even 20, very arrogant and communication very poor.

Gut wrenching after we put our lot into the game but points better than nothing.
Big Dean Thexton brilliant for Willington but he'll be a big loss when he goes to South Shields

So poor referee decision or poor defending. I would suggest the latter as we all can make mistakes?

No mate good defending in the first place to get what should have been a goal kick but the inept referee overruled his liner who was in a great position to see rather than thirty yards away looking through a crowd of players.

Proud of CLS lads last night in playing not only a very decent Willington side but keeping their heads in getting nothing all night from a referee who really should still be plying is trade in the likes of the Teeside league or the Durham combination.

Excellent second half from CLS to a man after surviving a first half onslaught from Willington. They looked sharp upfront and combative in midfield and defence. When we took the lead I thought we would win the game but fair play to Willington they hit back well. Massive decision from the merry whistler not to award a penalty when the keeper hauled down Mickle when he was getting to his feet for a tap in, would have been a red card as well.

Always a shame to witness a blood and thunder game like that where both sides gave their all and come away talking about the ref. I think with the amalgamation of the ENL2 and Wearside refs we will be doing this a lot more

As stated mate very good defending in the first place. Shocking decision by ref but poor defending from the corner however take away the decision from the ref and defending isn't even an issue. The pooling of all the refs has already seen a shocking standard

I have to say that while this is Chester le Street supporters views Willington themseleves were victim of strange decisions so it was not all against Chester le Street but the decisions against Ch le st could have had an affect on the result whereas Willingtons were mainly in the middle of the park - in my view
