Many thanks. So what happened before incorporation in December 2018? In the words of the recently deceased Johnny Nash 'there are more questions than answers'.

The club was an unincorporated association. Accounts were still kept and made available to members but obviously won't be on companies house.

Obviously the money went directly into the players brown "expenses" packets.

It will be interesting to find out exactly where the money went as Billingham Town have said it didn't go through their accounts.

Committees/Directors are legally reasonable for the running of the Club and its finances, however for generations Managers with their own personal wealth have "independently negotiated" with individual players, even down to giving them employment.

The difference here is the money is from the proceeds of crime, however there is no way officials at BTFC would know that. Its easy to point the finger, however when was the last time illigal money was proven to be associated with a Club, I cant remember one and ive been around 30 years

If you think this kind of stuff doesn't happen and/or has never happened then you're very naive.

Technically, this has been proven as it was accepted in mitigation by the judge in the case. The question now is can Billingham prove they didn't receive the money, in which case a further trial for perjury would be appropriate, with Oliver's barrister being disbarred.

Billingham don't need to prove anything as they are neither on trial or being investigated.

There's one thing that intrigues me about this saga Neil. Did you or any of your fellow Directors/Committee ever ask how much the players were being paid and if so where was the money coming from. Good players don't come cheap!

The squad was made up of players who were either already at the club, came from local leagues, or were on the fringes of other NL clubs. At least two of the players had actually emailed the club asking for a trial for their first shot at NL level. We were hardly signing 'big names'. Prior to promotion we were an average second division side finishing mid table, and last year Barry wasn't at the club for 80% of the season. Things clicked for us the year we got promoted with a squad that had mostly been together for a while.

Like I’ve said , there’s no way the club would know where the moneys come from , however Neils response would imply the Club didn’t even know over 70k was spent additionally to the clubs budget over the 5 year period . That I find hard to believe.

Surely billingham wont face any action as long as bills have paid, vat/tax, players wages etc

too many people eager to accept without question the claim by a convicted fraudster that the money was given to the club/ that includes people on here and the judge, who should have asked for incontrovertible proof of the 'facts' used in mitigation which could be totally false.

There seems to be plenty people on here who basically know nothing keen to find some guilt with Billingham.
