Looking at what has happened in the Wearside and Northern alliance league, games called off due to travel restrictions and teams hastily signing local players, how is this going to affect the Northern League?

There are many players, coaches, managers, staff who travel from one area to another week in week out under normal circumstances, if the tier system is with-held (which there is a big chance) how are our clubs going to cope, sign on more local players, run without their management. coaches?

How many clubs would this affect?

Correct me if I’m wrong but it’s my understanding that clubs can travel within their local County bubble which in the North East takes in Northumberland Tyneside , South Tyneside,Wearside and County Durham.
Clubs in Northumberland, Tyneside , South Tyneside Wearside and Co Durham can travel between them areas so can’t see it causing any problems as long as all are in the same tier .

Its certainly confusing but from what I can gather and what's happened in the other local leagues say for instance Bishops, who have a few Hartlepool lads play for them, that couldn't play if Bish were playing say, Benfield, Hebburn or the likes away?

Durham's new manager, a Middlesbrough man I believe couldn't manage Durham?
I could be wrong as I say its very confusing hopefully someone on here can clarify?

that’s all true as far as travelling between teeside and Durham which isn’t allowed . It’s all garbage when you see pictures of town centres up and down the country rammed . Outdoor sports and hospitality get the blame . It will soar again after yesterday scenes . They will probably blame the step 7 games tho . Shocking

Totally agree, an easy target for those in power to say they actually doing something. Hitting the wrong people and groups... Pillocks.

Yeah i understand restrictions still need to be in place but with shops been rammed this month and folk mixing from multiple households it will only increase the numbers the go up giving the hitlers like hancock ammunition to keep up with these draconian measures into janury and sport and hospitality will get the backwash in january despite the fact theres far more measures in place. Dont ever recall track and trace been in shops

I’m sure I read on an official document that steps 3-6 are exempt as it falls under the category of work

The FA have confirmed players and club officials can travel for games.
This weekends Vase will see clubs from other leagues coming to play Northern League teams

This is on Hebburn Town Twitter:

Thanks to @KateOsborneMP intervention we received this letter from @DCMS today (dated 4th Dec),
clearly states non-elite football can have supporters in Tier 3,
so we have contacted @FA for clarification for steps 2-7 in our area

I still think the situation is very confusing.

If the government say supporters can attend is it local fa’s and/or authorities stopping it either way confusing like so
Many of these draconian measures we face.

So going back to my original point if supporters are allowed to attend, travel, to games why in other leagues are players and officials not?

Someone needs to put an end to this utter confusion. Are fans currently allowed at steps 5 & 6 in tier 3 or not?
