Just been announced that the manager - Rob Bowron - and all his coaching staff have resigned from the club,

(BUFC Facebook Page)

I'm guessing that secretary, treasurer and Chairman will all follow as they came as a 'bundle'.

Unfortunately could see this coming, I have not been associated with the club for about a month.

Can't see the club lasting the season unless someone else comes in....

Where did they come from? (Wearside league)?

How come you aren’t associated anymore?

"Think" they came from The Alliance (?). They had Coundon in whichever league they play in.

Long story about why I resigned a while ago - but results, plight of the club and where they were going playing a big part.

Did the Coundon and leeholme team of the northern alliance not wind that team up and take over brandon?

When we were there a couple of weeks back i had a feeling talking to the lads and lasses there that this may happen. I think the program guy and lady that does the catering had left that week. Can they not get help to get through the season them maybe get Durham City to merge. I t would solve the problems Durham have with no ground. Only a short distance fro the centre

Merger with Durham seems a sensible option for the future.

Cant argue about merger with durham, brandons possibly as easy to get to as belmont in durham, which would sem the likely location durham would build a ground if they ever got the cash. I know both clubs have there history but soon they could both loose it. These days have both clubs got much left to loose from a merger?

Mergers work . Birtley Town and Birtley St Joseph’s merged . There was history there but both came together . If it helps for 2 to become 1 then why not

I watched Brandon a few weeks back and, without disrespect, they were woeful. Something needed to change but I don't think an overhaul in management and backroom staff now is a good solution. I think the merger with Durham would be the perfect solution - it ticks Durham's ongoing ground issues, put the two sides together and bring in some new faces and you can probably put a side together that could compete (at the minute neither team is competing with anyone) and it will hopefully provide some stability.

Good luck to those involved!

Have been informed it's just the management / coaching side of things that have gone and the treasurer, secretary etc... are all staying.

Business as usual in that respect.

Big game on Saturday at home to Willington.

Very surprised at that as the Secretary / treasurer all came in with management team from previous club.

Not associated with the club any more so can't really answer that one.

From reading the Facebook page, it looks as though there has been some interest.

Me too, tbh, which I inferred in my original post. But, again, from reading the Facebook page, the club treasurer has said that side of things are continuing so at least there will be some continuity and stability from that point of view.

It’s a shame to see this club in the state it is in. I have not been for a few seasons now but all I can say is when you take away local lads who worked tirelessly for the club on match days and beyond the script was written. Where did these lads go too?
Just seems like they disappeared without a trace.
A few years ago it was alleged a rich local man was going to take the club to the next level and beyond?
Any answer Brandon United.
