BILLINGHAM TOWN v EASINGTON COLLIERY PREVIEW
DURHAM FA COUNTY CHALLENGE CUP PRELIMINARY ROUND
Tuesday 17th September, Bedford Terrace, Kick Off 7:30pm.

Where as the majority of Step 6 clubs and above received a bye or an exemption: Town begin this seasons Durham Challenge Cup at the earliest stage. They face a familiar foe in Easington Colliery who Town defeated on three separate occasions last season, scoring thirteen goals in the process. Having said that, and despite their surprisingly lowly league position - Easington have potentially, the strongest strike force in the division with Josh Home-Jackson, Jack Pounder and Liam Adamson. Fixtures against Easington are usually open encounters so an entertaining game is on the cards. The winners qualify for the first round which is usually played by the end of October.

TOWN TALK:
Manager Paul Edwards has a squad of sixteen available, all first team regulars. Kallum Hannah also returns from his three match ban but Matty Robinson is unavailable due to work commitments and Brad Young is not involved. Striker Craig Hutchinson scored six times in two league fixtures last season against the Collierymen. In all, Town notched thirteen times including the EAM Cup tie: 3:1 4:2 & 6:1.

LAST ENCOUNTER:
2018/19 NL2: Billlingham Town 6 (O.g, Oakley, Hutchinson 4) Easington Colliery 1 (Home-Jackson)

EASINGTON RESULTS:
Easington 1-2 Shildon (Adamson)- FA Vase 2QR
Durham City 0 Easington 4 (Adamson 2, Todd, Home-Jackson)
Easington 5 Bedlington Terriers 1 (Adamson 2, Dunn, Home-Jackson, Hassanin)
Easington 4 Holker Old Boys 1 (Home-Jackson, Pounder, Dunn) - FA Vase 1QR
Crook Town 2-2 Easington (O.g, Pounder)
West Allotment Celtic 4-1 Easington (Adamson)
Easington 1-2 Chester-Le-Street Town (Pounder)
Newcastle University 2-1 Easington (Pounder)

*ONE TO WATCH: LIAM ADAMSON
Striker who can also play on the left side of a front two/three. Stood out as a player to note last season but didn’t reach the heights as expected. In good form this season and has similar traits to Craig Hutchinson.

NEXT UP: EBAC NORTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE
Saturday 21st September: Billlingham Town v Northallerton Town.

*Subject to availability and selection.
