The Football Association has announced the teams that will be promoted and moved into the Ebac Northern League for the 2019/20 season.

They confirmed that Team Northumbria and Blyth AFC are regarded as the two relegated teams from the first division as they resigned from the league after last year’s AGM.

As champions, Dunston UTS are automatically promoted to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.

The FA has promoted three teams from the second division: Billingham Town, Thornaby and Northallerton Town.

Two teams are promoted from feeder leagues to the second division: Newcastle University and Sunderland West End. Carlisle City FC have been moved laterally from the North West Counties League to our second division.

The changes mean that both divisions of the league will run with 20 teams, subject to any appeals to the FA.

Every club in the country who finished second, but did not gain promotion based on ppg should appeal.

Whoever got moved into the league: carlisle or knaresborough will be unhappy im sure as they have no derby games but it will be a good trip out for fans im sure and the long trip will help ease clubs been promoted into longer travel. Yeah as the league will need extra clubs next season im sure cleator moor will be moved especially if penrith came down

I look at the two teams promoted from the SWPL step 6(Tavistock & Exmouth), into the Western League step 5. It’s about 2 hours for most of their away games & the FA balked at transferring Knaresborough? Surely Mike Amos is going to applaud the FALC over this decision!

Hear what you saying but this aint the south west where clubs dont face alot of travelling generally at step 6. You could say Knaresborough could have been a better bet due to not been far of the recently ugraded a1. But hey these allocations will be by far set in stone. Phoenix clubs and appeals could change them for starters

Frimley Green FC, who finished 2nd in their league and would have been next to be promoted on PPG are appealing the FA's decision to promote Northallerton instead of them.

Who can blame them? No disrespect to Northalerton mind. But to be promoted in third place (the only team nationally I believe) with a far inferior PPG average is a right kick in the teeth for the 2nd placed clubs who missed out. I doubt it will change anything like

Windy I live down the south west and most journeys take two hours as once off the M5 the roads arnt that great only got A38 and atlantic highway to travel thru devon and cornwall and aug sept its grid locked.

Surely if Frimley Green are successful there'll need to a reshuffle in every division across the country? Not like they were competing for a spot in the same league, or even close.

So what if this frimley green win the appeal and northallerton are promoted that will leave the northern league short of teams. Would not make sense
