MATCH INFO:
Northern League Division Two
Tuesday 2nd April, Bedford Terrace, Kick Off 7:30pm.
Town: All Royal Blue
Chester: All Yellow.
Officials: Geoff Mann, Ian Enderwick, Jess Shuker.

FOCUS ON CHESTER:
Weighing up Chester Le Street in form terms is difficult to assess. Recent results suggest that the Cestrians go into Tuesday nights fixture with much to do. However, their away form throughout the season has been excellent. And if three teams do get promoted, then Chester are still in the running for that final spot (still no news whether one, two or three clubs are to be promoted). Billingham produced one of their performances of the season at Moor Park, just after Christmas when Town ran out comfortable 4-0 winners. Captain Craig Marron should return from suspension, adding combative qualities in central midfield. Languid central defender Alexander Walker will be a threat from set pieces as will Rhys Turnbull. Scott Robson has good technical attributes and is the nephew of Captain Marvel, Bryan Robson. Jack Oliver & Joe Grant are two others to look out for although they both started on the bench against Birtley Town on Friday night. Joe Hailes has been a loss for them having signed for Seaham Red Star in January.

ONE TO WATCH: ANDREW CLARKSON
Strongly built centre forward who is strong in the air. Has often caused problems for Town in the past while at Esh Winning and last season for Chester Le Street.

RECENT RESULTS:
Chester Le Street 0-1 Birtley Town
Redcar Athletic 2-2 Chester Le Street (Walker, M.Hepplewhite)
Chester Le Street 3-3 Easington Colliery (Turnbull, Clarkson 2)
Chester Le Street 6-0 Brandon United (Robson, Turnbull, Walker, og 2, Clarkson)
Heaton Stannington 0-0 Chester Le Street
Chester Le Street 0-4 Crook Town
*Chester Le Street 1-1 Willington (Marron) - EAMC
Thornaby 1-0 Chester Le Street

RECENT ENCOUNTERS:
2017/18 Billingham Town 3 Chester Le Street Town 1 (Kirkbride, Lavan, Beddow)
2016/17 Chester in division one
2015/16 Billingham Town 1 Chester Le Street Town 3 (Hutchinson)

TOWN LAST 6 HOME: DWLWWW
CHESTER LAST 6 AWAY: WWWLdD

TALKING TOWN:
The transfer window has now closed meaning Town have retained a strong squad for the remaining weeks of the season with no exits to compliment the recent signings of Callum Hassan and Matty Garbutt. As a result, players are competing to be a part of the squad and inevitably, several lads will be left disappointed. Mark Dixon is more or less near to full fitness with only Reece Kenney a significant absentee. With Matty Garbutt’s arrival, Jamie Davis has moved forward into his intrinsic position. Other attacking options include, Ash Lavan and Elliott Beddow who all started on Saturday while Hassan come off the bench during the final moments. Barry Oliver & Paul Edwards have stuck to a 3-5-2 formation of late but will review matters on a game by game basis.
