MATCH INFO:
Northern League Division Two
Saturday 16th March, Grounsell Park, Newcastle, Kick Off 3:00pm.
Stan: Black & White Shirts, Black Shorts.
Town: All Royal Blue.
Officials: Darren Williams, Matthew Bartlett, Mark Baston.

FOCUS ON STAN:
Invariably, a fixture at Grounsell Park is a difficult one for any side. With the heavens expected to open throughout the day, this could be a matter for survival of the fittest! With promotion places still very much up in the air, The Stan will be hoping that a third team is rewarded promotion and the North Tyneside club currently sit in fifth position, two points behind Northallerton Town who play Redcar Athletic on Friday night. Squad wise, they have the vastly experienced Thibaut Charmey to call upon along with Dean Imray. The nimble winger Joshua Holland has faced Town on numerous occasions while at Ryton & Crawcrook Albion as well as at Heaton Stannington. Former Town striker, Joe Kerridge, who often played on the wing for the blues will face competition from prolific scorer Connor Campbell and also from Daniel Robinson. Lewis Burns, is another player who has been consistent in front of goal this season. There has been outgoings of late - midfielder Shane Jones joined West Allotment Celtic while striker Jonathan Wright moved to Willington and then Whitley Bay in a matter of weeks. This week Oliver Martin signed for Bedlington Terriers and John Mordey made his third transfer of the season by moving to Whickham.

ONE TO WATCH: CONNOR CAMPBELL
Singled out for the reverse fixture where Campbell put Heaton Stannington ahead in the 1-1 draw back in October. Since his September move from North Shields, Campbell has scored eighteen goals in the league.

RECENT RESULTS:
West Allotment Celtic 1-3 Heaton Stannington (Charmey 2, Miller)
Easington Colliery 2-1 Heaton Stannington (Campbell)
Heaton Stannington 0-0 Chester Le Street Town
Northallerton Town 1-0 Heaton Stannington
Heaton Stannington 3-2 Esh Winning (Holland, Campbell, Charmey)
Bedlington Terriers 0-3 Heaton Stannington (Robertson, Campbell, (Charmey)
Heaton Stannington 2-3 Morpeth Town (Kerridge, Campbell) - NSC
Ryton & Crawcrook Albion 0-1 Heaton Stannington (Campbell)

RECENT ENCOUNTERS:
2017/18 Heaton Stannington 3 Billingham Town 0
2016/17 Heaton Stannington 3 Billingham Town 3 (Hutchinson, Dickinson, Connor)
2015/16 Heaton Stannington 0 Billingham Town 2 (Hutchinson 2)

STAN LAST SIX HOME: WdDLWd
TOWN LAST SIX AWAY: WWWWLL

TALKING TOWN:
Mark Dixon, Stephen Jackson and Reece Kenney continue their rehabilitation but Stephen Oakley should make the squad again. Dan Flounders and Elliott Beddow have had niggling issues but both should also make the squad. Craig Hutchinson has gone five games without a goal which is rare for Town’s top goalscorer; Craig is currently on thirty three goals and will face a fitness test on the day. Callum Hassan is away on holiday so Ash Lavan may come into contention for a start. Town are currently two points clear at the summit of Division Two but with heavy rain forecast for Saturday, that could all change without a ball being kicked at Grounsell Park. Having said that, Thornaby could have the same problems with Mother Nature and will be keen to get their fixture the go ahead against bottom of the table Durham City.
