Any news on tomorrows games. Are the league allowing postponements today ?

I am guessing our game at Tow Law might be a little doubtful :D :D

Ha ha Wack, set off now you might get there, sure it will be fine.

In all seriousness I think the league should just cancel all fixtures, saves people doing inspections, getting refs, worrying about catering, preparing pitches etc.

Just received an email from League Secretary sayin clubs are allowed to make own decision without having a official inspection but only after 6.00pm tonight.

Lets all get volunteers to go to each ground at 6pm tonight when its effing FREEZING the pitch full of snow just to ring the league secretary and tell him what he probably knows already.

if clubs who know there is no chance of game being on then just call off the day before so people can make other arrangements there hasn't been many postponements all season and plenty of time to get remaining games in so just call it today if they see fit

Email inbox going mad at 6.01pm

What a ridiculous way to run things, if they trust clubs / individuals to make decisions at 6pm, why don’t they trust them to make them before that!

Totally agree, it makes no difference between now and 6pm, do they think a big thaw is possible. Most Clubs will have unofficially called games off , to avoid programme publication, catering etc.

I would be surprised if any survive

Jarrow v Birtley
Pitch inspection at 09.30 am.
Jarrow must think it has a chance , decent club who I’m sure would call it if it had no chance.
Let’s hope it on .

Sunderland RCA v Whickham Div 1 Inspection 10.30am but very doubtful from my front window.
