A few snaps of a former NL ground on the blog today: https://groundhoppers.blog/2019/01/24/t ... bany-park/

I understand the kids call it #throwbackthursday.

Had a great few seasons at Washington including a promotion from division 2, sad to see the ground in such a shocking state

Was a canny ground when Washington played there and a decent clubhouse. How come they left?

It looked Run down when they were playing there could imagine it will have been too much for them to bring up to scratch

I think the ground got vandalised alot/changing rooms got burned down were mostly the reason for them moving

Pretty sure the land was owned by the brewery at the time and it was sold for a housing development. LOADS of theft and vandalism while they were there and the people involved just couldn't keep up with it all. Such a shame as it 'was' a cracking ground!
