Wack: that made me laugh about what we are paying out. That comment was linked to our previous chairman who seemed to have knowledge of our budget who is now at Bedlington, even though, probably only two or three people actually know what it is. Regards to money, it is a massive difference at our level though. The issue is, it has to be sustainable and a model behind it. I hate the modern term Fair Play but I wonder how that would work at our level!

Referee has changed for tomorrow night. Kirk Freeth will be in charge. Assistant Referees remain the same.

Couldn't have gone any better. We know Northallerton can play but in the past, we may not have coped on the physical aspect. They never looked like scoring. A job well done.

I think thats the title decided now, given number of  games left now even if we win every one I would expect Billingham to win their others anyway. The points lead and game in hand is enough of a cushion in my view. The team have been fantastic this season and I dont think anyone can begrudge them the title.

I think we have had times in the season to keep the pressure on but sadly it wasnt to be. I honestly think any of us would have taken a potential 2nd place finish at the start of tbe season and am super proud of our club for making the steps it has.

Still lots to play for of course!

Billingham Town won promotion last night . Good to see a great away support in the 320 crowd , and a decent atmosphere. Pity the football was nowt flash and Northallerton hardly created a chance , Billy just edged it .

We now fight for second place but our inability to beat the teams around us may be our downfall . Thornaby in 2 weeks is massive for us .

Careful you don't get a nose bleed coming that far south Mr T Side.

Billy Town had a game plan and it worked, closing down quickly, defending deep and then breaking at pace. NTFC's first shot on target was after 93 minutes. I'd take a semi final win and league defeat against Thornaby.

I was about to say the same haha a league loss to yourselves doesnt hurt us that much but personally I want to go for the cup. It would be the first silver wear for Thornaby in a long long time...

I’d much rather win the league match and try for second. There’s no guarantees who the FA will end up deciding who will get promoted.

If we both achieved 2nd and 3rd in the only season where one goes up it’s a travesty

It's not over until the fat lady sings! Still 11 games to go and we have something like 7 of the top 9 still to play.
