- NTFC have lost 1 home league game in 14 matches
- Billy Town have lost 1 away league game in 16 matches
- NTFC are joint top (Dunston - 41) home goal scorers in the whole of the Northern League
- Billy Town are top (42) away goal scorers in the whole of the Northern League
- Only Dunston (8) have conceded fewer home league goals than NTFC (12) in the whole of the Northern League
- Only Thornaby (11) have conceded fewer away league goals than Billy Town (13) in Northern League Division Two
- NTFC have only dropped 5 points at home this season
- Billy Town have only dropped 4 points away this season

It promises to be one of the biggest games of the season for both sides.

Undoubtedly a big game.....but not a massive one for Billingham. Northallerton have to win this game. No question about it. It almost looks certain second won’t be enough for either Northallerton or Thornaby to gain promotion. History is on Northallerton’s side with five wins against us in the last seven encounters but this is by far Billinghams best squad for over 12 years. Performances and results have been better away from home......the key to this match? Central midfield....whoever wins that battle, will win the game.

On the points per game we are very close to the top 9 Clubs , so I am not sure how you can be certain that 2nd wont be enough. Mind you it does seem we are never going to make promotion, after last seasons "missing out" by one goal. Billingham Town have done really well this season , its theirs to lose.

Still 39 points to play for, but if you win on Friday, then you have one hand on the title. I'm sure Billy Town v Brandon would have been a home banker - anyone can beat anyone in this league. 100% agree that the key will be midfield.

The league is Billingham Town's to lose.

The pressure is on BT to keep getting wins.

Of course the advantage is with them given how good they have been this season.

NORTHALLERTON TOWN V BILLINGHAM TOWN PREVIEW

MATCH INFO:
Northern League Division Two
Friday 25th January, Ainderby Road, Romanby, Kick Off 7:45pm.
Northallerton: Black & White Shirts, Black Shorts.
Town: All Royal Blue.
Officials: Owen Hay, Carl Draper, Matthew Gufflick.

FOCUS ON NORTHALLERTON:
A quick glance at the squad and one wonders how they have remained a second division club. From Tom Dawson in goal to Nicky Martin upfront (both former blues!), there is quality throughout. Chris Emms remains a star name having played for Spennymoor Town in the past while Elliott McGlade is a tricky customer. Damon Reaks is in good scoring form since he signed from Tow Law along with former fans favourite Aaron Ramsbottom. Kieran McWaters is another good player to keep an eye out if involved. Another former blue, Richie Walker scored the goal in the reversal fixture that ended 1-1. Defensively, Dan Jones has been a Northallerton stalwart over the years. Andy Ramsbottom and Jack Proctor will be others who will, in all probability, start at the back.

ONE TO WATCH: AARON RAMSBOTTOM
Ran the show four seasons back in Northallerton’s 6-2 rout. Subsequently played for Marske United and Newton Aycliffe in division one. Skilful forward.

RECENT RESULTS:
West Allotment Celtic 0-3 Northallerton (Ramsbottom, Emms, og)
Northallerton 1-2 Chester Le Street Town (Martin)
*Northallerton 1-1 Jarrow (Reaks)
Northallerton 4-0 Durham City (Walker 2, Reaks 2)
Northallerton 2-2 Tow Law Town (McGlade, Martin)
Esh Winning 0-3 Northallerton (Ramsbottom, Shepherd, Reaks)
Northallerton 3-2 Bedlington Terriers (Ramsbottom 3)
Northallerton 5-1 Ryton & Crawcrook Albion (Martin, Reaks 2, Jones 2)
*Northallerton won on penalty kicks.

PREVIOUS ENCOUNTERS:
2017/18 Northallerton Town 3 Billingham Town 0
2016/17 Northallerton Town 0 Billingham Town 3 (Hutchinson, Dixon, Crossen)
2015/16 Northallerton Town 6 Billingham Town 2 (Bishop, Murphy)

NORTH LAST 6 HOME: LDWDWW
TOWN LAST 6 AWAY: WWWWWW

TALKING TOWN:
Luke Hogan has served out his suspension but could face competition from Matty Robinson for a starting position. However, Robinson may revert to left back if Mark Dixon fails a fitness test for an ankle injury. Competition on the other side is just as fierce with Elliott Beddow close to his best form and recent signing Joe Carter gaining an assist after only two minutes into his introduction against Esh Winning. Stephen Oakley & Dan Flounders have kept two clean sheets together but Kris Summers will be looking for a start after recovering from Vertigo and suspension. Earlier in the week, Town signed Ryan Lamb from Durham City and the midfielder has had previous spells at Gateshead & Consett. Lamb is not expected to break into the team straight away but could make the squad. On the injury front, Jamie Davis could be out for another two to three weeks and the same goes for Reece Kenney. Stephen Jackson will face his former club, having left Northallerton back in November.

Next Up: Friday, 1st February, Home to Chester Le Street Town.

Billy Town are one of the best sides ive seen in Division 2 for a very long time.
I know anything can happen in these games and no doubt im putting the kiss of death on Billy Town but ill be very surprised if they dont win.
Should be a cracker of a game.

We shared the points at their place, and we have improved significantly from the start of the season. That said they actually don't need a win or even a result, we do.

With the money that Northallerton are paying out each week they should be closer to Billingham Town in the league in my opinion. Each season they seem to pump a lot of money into the team to get promoted but it never happens for one reason or another.

Bigger game for Billingham who would like to keep their record going. I would think Northallerton are playing for 2/3rd their big games are the teams around them.

The same could be said for Hebburn in NL1, they should be up already, but no money only plays a small part, it's what done on the pitch that counts.

If the rumours are true  , Billy Town are paying out more than the rest of the second div put together .. :D :D

Joking apart IF the old traditional rule of 3 up, 3 down was in place , it would be 2 from 3 (Thornaby , us and Chester) for the 2nd and 3rd place. I think we would have stood a good chance , however we have yet to beat Thornaby , Billy Town or Chester (lost twice) this season. Last season we missed out by one goal, having drawn at Thornaby and needing a win.

Heaton Stan have beaten Northallerton (home) and CLS (away) & drawn away to Billy Town this season. Just sayin' ;-)
