We are saddened to hear of the passing of Seaham Red Star FC committee member Gordon Hargrave. He passed away on Thursday January 3rd in hospital following a long and determined battle with cancer. Gordon will be sadly missed by so many people, but also fondly remembered. Our thoughts go to his friends and family.

As you know My Dad (Gordon Hargrave) passed away on Thursday 3rd January
As a family we would like to invite you to attend his funeral on Tuesday 15th January to help celebrate his life.
15:15 - Christ Church, Seaham for the service
16:00 - Sunderland Crematorium
16:30-18:00 - Seaham Red Star football club for 'the party' (dad didn't want a wake but a party)
As a family we have decided to only have one lot of flowers as it was dads wish. So instead of flowers there will be donation boxes in the church and 'the party' for the Red Star football club as thats what dad wanted.
Dad specifically requested that there was NO BLACK at his funeral and that everyone was comfortable, so please wear colourful comfortable clothing, football tops, jeans and flat caps are welcome!
Hope to see as many of you there as possible, thank you for your on going support through this difficult time for us.
Lastly if any one has any photos of dad please post them below or personally message me we would like to put as many as we can in the order of service!
Thank you
From Gordon's Family

That is just typical of the man. When he first told me of his illness, he made a joke about it.

I worked with Gordon about 30 years ago, and am sorry to learn of his passing.

I'm sure that he'll be at the party !!
