Post subject:  Chester Le Street v Billingham Town Preview

After the derby day officiating debacle, Town travel to Chester Moor for what could be their toughest game on the road this season. They had to endure a difficult surface at Ryton last week but at Chester Le Street, Town face a side that traditionally likes to play the ball long and the current squad has more quality in it compared to last season. This fixture was originally pencilled in for September but had to be rearranged due to Town’s involvement in the FA Vase competition.

The squad is much changed under Colin Wakethe manager and Assistants Barry Fleming and Paul Brown.. Games have been high scoring, particularly at the wrong end in recent weeks. Dan & Michael Hepplewhite are still at the club, as too is veteran midfielder Craig Marron. 20 year old, Jack Oliver is the top scorer at the club with eight goals while striker Andy Clarkson hasn’t started of late. Owen Lancaster was a regular at Whickham in recent seasons and Michael Graver has returned after a spell at Birtley. Defender Joseph Hailes came from Newcastle Benfield and Daniel Candlish is another signing from Whickham.

Been on the Northern League scene for a long time now and still inspiring his team to victories. Midfielder who played for Middlesbrough and Darlington at youth level. Former clubs include Bishop Auckland, Consett and Sunderland R.C.A .

Mark Dixon is suspended for this game due to the yellow card totting up procedure while Dan Flounders is likely to miss the Brandon fixture. Luke Hogan will miss the Brandon, Bedlington and Esh Winning matches. With Dixon suspended, Lee Moore may shift over to the left while Brandon Kirkbride or Stephen Jackson could start at right back. There is also the option of Stephen Oakley returning and Flounders moving over to the left. With Hogan facing a three match ban, Elliott Beddow could be back for a run in the side, allowing Matty Robinson to switch over to the left wing.
