The club needs to find a level that it can be sustainable at, clearly they don’t have the fan base to play at conference level and previous owners have been funding that.

The budget this season was actually more in line with the fan base one of the lowest in the league and ben clark should be getting a reward and new contract and bonus but was sacked by e-mail. If the same low budget next season got them relegated fans would accept that but seems the team will be relegated or more than likely liquidated by off field issues. Things are been done purely out of spite. The supporters club would rather go in league with owners and have a share in the club and have boost the budgets fundraising etc than form a new club but it seems the only option

The budget was still way above what they generate. Past years have seen them lose millions out of owners pockets.

The way they have gone about things has been terrible but maybe there just isn’t the appetite for a full time club.

Surely if you want to run a high level non league club with aspirations to play in the football league in Gateshead, you’re always going to be p****** against the wind?
Is it not simply a hopeless cause?

Mark Carruthers has said that a story is going to be released about Gateshead & Ebbsfleet situation. Ebbsfleet were also in court today. Bury were also in court & their case has been adjourned for a month. The Isthmian League posted earlier that the steps 1-4 constitutions will be released on Sunday via the Nonleague Paper. I wonder if the two National League clubs have been thrown out of the league?

Trevor there's something out again in the conference thread. The end is near by all accounts.
