Fan since 1958, ex committee member, third generation working for the club and its predecessors back to Division 2 days.

And as I have never said SSFC would walk this league (or the previous one or the one before that) exactly what am I deluded about? The fact that despite (or due to) a poor away form for much of the season, we're third in NPLP after three successive promotions? Or that our attendances are the best at step 3 and rank 22 among all non-league clubs nationally? Or something I'm not aware of????? DO you know what 'deluded' actually means?

I don’t see how they can, because clubs who’ve not played them twice will be at a massive disadvantage. You’ll have a final league table where some clubs will have played less games than others.

Can’t believe they’d allow such an arrangement. It’s incredibly unfair on teams who NF have taken points off. I always thought all points had to be played for.

I tend to agree and was just as surprised as you when I saw Windy's post but he tends to have a good grasp of situations.

It's the rule brought in on the back of Spennymoor Utd's collapse mid season. it is very unfair to award wins for unplayed games, but then it's not really fair to just expunge records and affect some clubs more than others. If Windy is right then there is no effect on the top three placings though Nantwich would benefit. Seems on balance fairer overall.

We don't play NL rules , Club liquidated , so all records are expunge , and yes am hoping that useless sticky pot NPL LMC do that as well , sorry NFU av gone to wall , visited many times form the NECL to NPL days , nice folks there , but rules are rules , and as we know in football , the powers to be , av there interpretation of them , as for Mariners , decent team ,was impressed with u when we nicked a pt up urs other wk , you was better than Farsley , mind u we was robbed there , by a blind Ref and Lino , ball went over line by a good half yard , I found this season , the standard of Officials has dropped , the one last wk at Basford was unbelievable what he missed , and what he even gave , one today at Grantham , baffled us at times ,maybe the wind obstructed his vision , hope u like the standard of the Football provided by your lovely LMC , one we had 2day at Grantham , sounded like a flat pudding , didn't sound like a proper football being booted around , yet again Evo-Stik LMC , you have excelled yourself's , take leaf out the new Central Premier League , with there Football Deal with Mitre !! good luck rest of season Mariners thou , hope ur away in the play offs

They aren’t Northern League rules, they are National League System rules(ie the rules set down by the FA).
