Whats the reason for Coundon resigning, surely with the success they have had during the last few seasons they have not just folded, or have they had enough of the DACL and gone back to the Crook league??

Very well run club with some fantastic players over the years. Hope they don't drift away and keep playing

Yeah, I think a big factor in the decision to fold at Oddies is down to the lack of teams in the league. And not being able to get in the Wearside

I know Darren, and the problem he has had for this new season is not a lack of teams or wearside league, it is that wearside and northern league teams have signed a massive amount of his players and doesn't want to struggle from week to week not fielding a team

It's a shame about the league. Is a good one but with teams dropping out for what reason.
Doesn't look good, players will lose interest with The fact only 14 league games isn't good. And it's expensive for pitch fees for pitches in Sunderland. (HALLFARM and ODDIES) £1200-£1500..work that out per game just not worth it. Season could be finished very early doors.. I'm sure the committee are working hard to get more teams in if not my opinion more teams will go and league could be gone aswell.

Fixtures meeting on the 7th... maybe the league is looking at different ways of expanding the season other than new teams (which is unlikely at this late stage) Saturday football outside of paying players is struggling for many reasons. We may have to get creative across the whole county/North East
