With last seasons' FA Trophy still not done.
This season is already in tatters lower down.
Today we have 14 postponements in the Nationals, most for covid.

The last season for this many postponements must be the severe winter of 1963. Not sure what they did to complete the season then.

PPG here come.

Ppg would be unfair as the seasons not 70%ish done like when last season was stopped and even ppg was not ised then. Would like to think the seasons extended, hardly as if many outside the football league will have players in the euros. I still think its a bit ott a whole team haveing to isolate for 2 weeks just because 1 person tests positive who may not even be another player or on the coaching team

Some postponing because a member of the management team is infected seems a step too far.

Yeah sure does. Needs sorting, should be the case particularly at pro clubs where if a manager, player or member of staff tests positive then only others testing positive have to isolate. Fair enough if the bulk of 1st team are positive call games off but this often aint the case

Meeting today to decide whether the National Leagues will continue.
The Govt. has moved the goalposts.
11 million pound is not a grant but now a loan. Its a step too far for a few clubs who are asking for season to end.

Most clubs should want the season to end with the change in stance, lets hope clubs are not forced to take out a loan and complete the season

Short version of options

1. Clubs get loans at 2% to pay back over ten years
2. National League get loan and distribute money(not sure of repayment method)
3. End season.

Seems like some NL South clubs are calling matches off with no one infected at their club. Calling it off for Health and Safety reasons.

At least a dozen clubs ask for season to end immediately.

Twitter rumours-
South already to end season on their own.
North and South to cease to continue season.

The National Leagues are going to have a vote on how to vote on ending the season or not. You couldn't make it up.

Ollie Bayliss has put the document on his twitter
Its some the worst gobblydegook ever written(have not read it myself just going off them that have)

All clubs have a right to appeal within one month of the decision.

Wrexham have already abstained as they get no grant or loan as they answer to the Welsh FA.
Just an aside Wrexham have to recognise transfer windows as they are run by the Welsh FA.

Some clubs are threatening legal action if season stops.

All very messy

All covid testing going to be free for National clubs.
Can't remember the link.

Bit odd this comes after more than half the clubs have voted on null and void. No idea who is paying for the tests.

Ollie Bayless Tweeted -

The National League plans to introduce mandatory lateral flow testing across all 66 clubs from the week commencing 15th February.

Tests will be provided at no cost to clubs, who will be instructed to test twice a week.

The plan still needs final approval from the League Board.
