The Guiseley AFC board of directors have made the difficult decision to place the management team of Russ O’Neill, Marcus Bignot and Paul Clayton on gardening leave for the remainder of the season.

Under the stewardship of Russ, Marcus and Paul the club has reached the FA Cup first round proper twice and second round once, whilst being on the verge of the playoffs in the covid affected 2019/20 season. They can also be credited for giving debuts to and contributing to the development of several of our academy graduates which is unrivalled at this level of football. Latterly they have competed valiantly against teams with vastly superior budgets, it is unfortunate the position we now find ourselves in especially given the unavailability of several players throughout the season. We will be forever grateful for the tireless work they have put in for the club, and whilst wishing them the very best in their future careers, hope to see them back at Nethermoor soon supporting the team.

Former manager Steve Kittrick will take over as caretaker manager for the remainder of the season, assisted by Luke Potter. Steve was previously with Guiseley between 2008 and 2013, winning 179 of his 311 games in charge whilst leading the Lions to promotion to the Vanarama National League North and subsequently the Vanarama National League North playoffs on three occasions.

Billericay Town have parted company with manager Jody Brown as the club remain rooted to the bottom of the Vanarama National League South.
The Blues were defeated 2-1 by Essex rivals Chelmsford City on Bank Holiday Monday.

It was the club’s fourth loss in a row and they have made a change to try and peg back Welling United and clinch survival.

With four games to go, Billericay have announced Danny Brown will be in charge for the remainder of the season.

Jody Brown was appointed in October and led them to a 1-0 win against Bowers & Pitsea in the Essex Senior Cup final last week.

But with the threat of relegation hanging over them, Town have made a change.

The statement read: "With regret we have to announce that we have parted company with our manager Jody Brown with immediate effect.

"Danny Brown will take the reins for the rest of the season. We will be fighting to the end to maintain our place in the National South."

New boss Brown’s first game in charge will be against Bath City on Saturday.

Steve Watson will not remain as manager of Chester, the club have announced.

A statement read: “Chester FC can confirm Steve Watson will be leaving his role as manager at the end of the season by mutual agreement.

“Following amicable discussions over recent days and after careful consideration, Steve and the club have agreed this is in the best interest of both parties.

“Steve will continue to lead the team until the end of his contract, which expires following our trip to Brackley Town on the final afternoon of the season.

“We thank Steve for his contribution, professionalism and the progress he has made over the past five months, and wish him every success in his future career.

“The club can assure supporters we will be seeking to identify and appoint a new manager as swiftly as possible.”

We have today reluctantly accepted the resignation of manager Jamie Vermiglio, who is leaving us for a new challenge.

We have a tailor-made replacement for Jamie, who will be announced within the next 48hrs

We can confirm that Manager Pete Wild has left the club to pursue a new opportunity. We’d like to put on record our sincere gratitude to Pete for an exciting three seasons, achieving two playoff finishes and a top ten finish… a very credible record.

Gone to Barrow if the rumours are true.
Barrow not really much of a step up. Fighting off relegation the main thing for them.

He can be very strange though in his interviews after defeat they are often delusional about the events that occurred. He has done well for us over the last three years. Wish him well though.

Looking at available managers not much in the Northern regions that fits the bill.
Our chairman had mentioned it might happen so they must have somebody in mind.
Don't want a techno bobbins person that uses graphs and a computer.
Stockport tried that with Rusk.

Wilds' Assistant for the last three years.

Popular with the players, internal appointment. Clearly the cheapest option but there really isn't much out there at this level in the North.

Makes sense and yeah theres not a big pool in the north unless the club wanted to get a efl failure like simon grayson.

Wow, we've already got someone leaving their job!

Blyth Spartans can confirm that manager Terry Mitchell has departed club with immediate effect.

The club would like to place on record its thanks to Terry for his efforts – namely last season’s successful battle against relegation as well as our victory in the Northumberland Senior Cup – and wish him the very best for the future.

The club will be making no further comment at this time.
