Definitely are going to be finally wound up.
The EFL said they would be happy for them to start at Conference National Level.
The EFL are in cloud cuckoo land if they think that is happening, at whose expense then.
Think I read somewhere they wouldn't be accepted to the conferences in any form.

Send a basket case to the top of non league they are having a laugh.
Forever Bury are having a meeting at Bury town hall next week to determine their future (as a phoenix club etc.)

As a practical thing smaller divisions lower down they go they would be easier to fit in .

Anyway if they are wound up a new bury is a phoenix club which would start at step 5. Also how can a league booting a team out decide there new league!

Bury (Phoenix) club have now formed to be ready for next season. Trying to get accepted as high up the pyramid as possible. No idea where they will play (Gigg Lane or rumoured a local non league club?)
Looks like they will have to go into North West Counties division as predicted earlier.

Sooner current bury are wound up the better as that benefits the new club. Could be some wranglings over gigg lane for a while so maybe a ground share initially to get the club off the ground. Fc united to return the favour?

Just read on another forum Bury phoenix(some people involved) are attempting to buy Alfreton and do an MK Dons gimmick stealing the old Wimbledon. Info from a Bury fan who is livid about it.

Very bizare. As far as im aware alfreton are not in financial bother and still play at a ground which they own. As if the fa would allow it anyway, seems like online fantasy to me

FA would allow it we already have MK Dons the franchise club.
Now read it may not be Alfreton Town but definitely is a North division club being targeted.

Think its a load of tosh, would folk watch a bury club who has nicked another club after steven dale did the same to them. Yes the fa did allow milton keynes but that was a few year ago and wimbleton would have gone busy anyway had the move not happened, burys a good as bust anyway

Maybe it is tosh but this is mental world of football we are talking about.
A more realistic target in the north for these chancers would be Curzon Ashton. Hope it never happens though.

Just Googled Bury FC just to see what the latest news on them is and noticed this article in the Bury Times:
https://www.burytimes.co.uk/sport/18098 ... gigg-lane/

With the Bury Phoenix group looking a bit more active in terms of fundraising and organising themselves, it could be an interesting few months ahead?

IF this new interest is genuine and all that is promised comes to fruition, the club or name at least acquired, along with the mortgage on Gigg Lane secured (no small ask), where might that leave them in terms of league allocation I wonder? Where too does it leave the Phoenix?Might certainly muddy the waters?

Just had a quick read and the bloke in question seems more interested in Gigg Lane than the new Bury club.
Avoid this chap and create your new phoenix club, with a board that can do their sums.
Don't think they can play at Gigg Lane-Playing home games at Radcliffe was mentioned.

Radcliffe would be a good starting base for any phoenix club at least. Whether the name is Bury AFC or Bury Phoenix, it looks likely they’ll be starting again. I too (as an outsider) viewed the new investor interest with some suspicion. A cynic might think that this new interest, making all the right noises, might be sufficient to stave off the Winding Up Petition yet again on the 18th(?) of this month.

I see it this way: would any legit investor want to come into bury and pay off all the debt to probably start 2 levels higher than a debt free phoenix club?

No guarantees there is any genuine intention to pay off any outstanding debt. More likely allow the club to be liquidated (he tried valiantly but failed) while doing his level best to to hang on to an association with the original entity long enough to secure some sort of tenure on Gigg Lane, probably at a knock down price.

At this point no guarantee where either an AFC or Phoenix would begin their footballing life; all down to how they present themselves to the FA when the time comes surely?
