Any idea where they'll play next season?

Does anyone know what the FA told Gateshead today? Have they got a timescale to get their house in order? Is it the AGM!

Thought it wasn't viable.

If a Gateshead phoenix club is set up what league would they be in.

Don't clubs have to have a guaranteed bond or something, think I read it somewhere in case of folding etc.

Doubt we'll ever see them again at National League level.

Sorry day for the genuine Gateshead fans, believe me I know how they feel it happened to us in 2008.

Aldershot reprieved then!

League Table already amended on the National League Official Site.

The communication from the national league has been appalling they were warned months ago about the mis-conduct at gateshead. Shame the authorities cant take control like they did with the steel. I doubt any other league will have the current gateshead

The National League AGM is in a couple of weeks. The NPL will be just after. So unless there’s an extremely quick resolution, I can’t see them being allowed in any league next season. Would it then be better to create a Phoenix club or if someone can save the club & put it into abeyance for next season. Then apply to join either at step 7 or step 6?

So, the question is,

Who is getting reprieved?

Aldershot and Ashton United?
Aldershot and Truro?
Aldershot and Warrington promoted?

Who knows till after the AGM!

Aldershot Town for the National

Truro for the South who I read would rather take their relegation.
Truro a mess behind the scenes

Ashton Utd ppg less than Truro anyway but it doesn't work like that

Automatically a South team

Warrington never in the picture.

I know I have read there is confusion of the rules. But that's how it has always worked in the conferences since we've been down here.

There seems to be massive confusion about who will be reprieved or promoted.
For some reason 2 sets of rules are out there & were released at the start of the season. Depending on when they were voted on or amended, will dictate the outcome of who is promoted. The first one is the rules showing on the Northern League website & a majority of the other leagues. Check out rule 5.5.2(b) http://www.northernfootballleague.org/w ... 018-19.pdf
The 2nd one is on the F.A.’s & National League website. Check out rule 5.5.2(a) http://handbook.fapublications.com/api/ ... s1282,s655
The first set of rules are stating that the losing playoff finalists will be promoted, ie Warrington
& the 2nd set of rules state that the best ppg relegated club will be reprieved ie Truro. Can anyone explain why their are numerous leagues showing the first version & only a few showing the 2nd version? Were the rules changed after AGM’s & could this go legal?

Baffling rules yes.
Some leagues lower down seem to promote teams rather than reprieve, but never seen it in the conferences. Don't think any team has ever been promoted in the Warrington situation not in the past anyway.

Have read the bye laws a while ago but they keep changing them so could not say for certain.

The standardised rules should be exactly the same across all leagues. Why there’s differences is intriguing. The F.A. makes all the changes & those changes are introduced to each league at their AGM’s. If this anomaly was picked up by the F.A. after the AGM’s & then changed. Then does it make those changes legal? Could Warrington make a legal challenge & is one of the reasons why the National League released the statement that the new constitution will be released at the AGM. Something to do with why there are 2 versions of the rule 5.5.2. ?
