No shock there after there high expectations for the season. Surely john Sheridan is next for the sack if results dont pick up

Chesterfield unable to sack John Sheridan due to his huge wages. They cannot pay it off (£140,000 pa). Highest paid in the National by all accounts. No idea how many years his contract is.

Appointed Jan 9th 2019 -found out on three year contract its an astronomical pay off for this level.

Chippenham Town have announced the departure of manager Mark Collier.

It is with regret that the CTFC Board has decided to terminate the contract of Manager, Mark Collier, with immediate effect.

Club Chairman, Neil Blackmore, said: “In making this decision, I and my Board recognise and are extremely grateful for what Mark has achieved since his time as Manager at Chippenham Town FC and we wish him well for the future. We now need to move forward to appoint a new Manager as soon as possible. In the interim Head Coach, Gary Horgan, will take charge of the team.”
The club will provide further updates as and when appropriate.

-----
Michael Cook In (Temporary) -

Chippenham Town FC is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Cook, ex-Gloucester City FC, as temporary First Team Manager until the end of the current season. Michael brings a deal of experience with him, including at National League South level, and will be accompanied by his own support staff.
The CTFC Board has moved quickly to secure this appointment in order to give the new management team, which will include Gary Horgan, the best chance of improving team performances and results such as to achieve the Club's retention in the Vanarama National League South and also to secure an immediate improvement in player discipline.

Crowds have dwindled after they seem to have hit a glass ceiling.
The North is a ridiculous division with the size of clubs crowds on average dwarf the South. Need to have a bit of nous and luck for any manager here.
Next season you could have South Shields,(possibly) FC United, AFC Fylde/Chesterfield and Chorley. A bottleneck division with an increase to 24 clubs.

There had been rumours about internal trouble(don't know what they are). Otherwise weird move. Another one bites the dust.

Rumoured to be a major fall out with his players- no idea if true or not.
