The National League will carry on for the remainder of the season but the North and South Divisions have been declared null and void.

More than two weeks after the four resolutions to decide how to end the season were sent by the league to member clubs, the threshold for making a decision was finally reached - even though not all the votes have been received.

The National League campaign will proceed, despite seven out of 23 clubs voting to end the season.

But, while the majority of National League South clubs voted to continue its season (12-9), fewer counterparts in National League North felt the same (7-15) and the decision to scrap the campaign with immediate effect was taken.

Expect any good players to snaffled up by the bigger clubs.

The integrity of our league will come into question with the teams at the bottom being able to play kids etc.

You can't beat the hypocrisy of the AFC Fylde chairman, who wanted null and void last season in a relegation spot but now wants to carry on.

Its all getting really silly.

Kings Lynn Town playing their next two home games then that's them done.

Wealdstone going to furlough players don't know the details

Dover have been charged failing to fulfil fixtures.

:? :!:

Nobody knows what KLT are up to.
The rumour going is they are waiting to see what Dover are charged with.

The 19 clubs that voted to continue are trying to form a N and S mini league combined or separate.

Kings Lynn

Chairman says they need £300,000 to carry on

They now stated they will play their next two games(why?)

Decisions on Dover and N/S carrying on with a reduced teams to be made soon.

If them breakaway teams in the national league spitting there dummys want to carry on soon they will have to re-start very soon or the games and playoffs wont be completed before june. I hope they are not allowed, could set a predent and makes votes on football matters seem pointless

Looks like we may have a combined North and South going ahead.
Ollie Bayliss twitter says -

"Following meetings with National League officials, a proposal for a National North & South competition will be tabled.

The combined Step 2 league would result in promotion.

It needs approval from National League clubs, the Alliance Committee (who meet Monday) & the FA Council."

Been getting these vibes from other forums.

The reasoning - just my view - two spots available for next season with the Macclesfield place and Dover's imminent expulsion.

Will leave North and South light though next season.
