Next seasons National League may as well be called National League South Premier(with a few Northern guests)

Unbalanced geographically. Hartlepool might as well hire an aeroplane for the new season and get some air miles in.

Harrogate or Notts C to add

FT Harrogate Town 3-1 Notts County

Harrogate Town are in the EFL after their 3-1 win over Notts County - crazy to think Harrogate are in League 2 next season

Harrogate will sure be one of the smallest towns to host a league 2 team, to think they were in the 8th tier less than 20 year ago. Shows how fast teams can rise up the pyramid

Burnley is a very small town far smaller than my town.
Think they may be on a par with Barrow pop size.

Harrogate have not got a problem with finances as they have Weavers dad who has gazillions of cash to keep them there.

Harrogate will have to rip up their(good condition compared to others)
3G plastic pitch and will have to play their early home matches away from home.

Anyway congratulations to Harrogate. One of the better teams to come down the Shay this last season.

Accrington, Fleetwood, Burton, Crewe , Shrewsbury and Yeovil probably have smaller populations than Harrogate.

There are probably others as well

Would be intresting to see a league table of football leagues calculated on population. Im guessing london could be based on boro

A quick Google shows this from 2015 - 2017 so will need updating.

For comparison, Harrogate has a population of about 75. 000
