Heart Foundation Cup
I have acted as Secretary of the above local Sunday football competition for the last 8 years during which time 8 different clubs have won the competition, emphasising the strength of the competition ,jncluding 3 clubs who have won the County Cup,albeit not in the same season. The BHF charity has benefitted by several thousand £ and I would like to formally thank all clubs who have participated over the years,in particular league and club secretaries,referees for their support .
However, I have now decided to resign the position of Secretary with immediate effect and withdraw from football at any level of administration for personal reasons .
I have no wish to see the competition fold ,like CIU Cup and Durham Hospital Cup ,and will seek someone to take over. The next round is planned for 13th Nov and I have contacted League Officials and club secretaries that I wish a clean transition ,without losing fixtures if avoidable and will make 2nd round draw shortly to assist in any handover.if unable to obtain a replacement then I advise that the competition will fold.
Once again ,thanks for the support over the years and hope that we have assisted ,however miniscule, in helping someone benefit from research and/or supply of defibrillators at sporting venues.

I am pleased to announce that John Topping ,secretary of DFA ,has confirmed that they will take over the administration of Heart Foundation Cup for at least this season,thereby ensuring the future of the competition in the short term at least.

Does anyone know if there have been any referee appointments made for next weeks fixtures?

Can anyone tell me if a player who has played in Division Cup and County cup but has not played in League or Heart Foundation cup previous rounds can play in the competition at this stage??

I believe the rules are;

Player must be signed on 5 days before the game.
Player must have played in a early round to play in the Semi Final and Final

As we are only in the 1st round i believe you shouldn't have a issue as sounds like the lad is signed on just has played in the league for you.

celtic won 3-0 with 3 cracking goals from jason white,liam pearson and luke thompson,we even had flares from the dynamoes contingent.the crowd was 327.

Does anyone know if this competition if going ahead for the 2017/2018 season and if so who we need to contact about entering it ? Martyn Thornaby Oddfellows

Durham fa run the competition now.entry forms available from them.entrance fee is £10 and off the top of my head I think the closing date for entry is 1st july
